Meet Your Provider
Hi, I’m Torra James, founder of Little Tots Learning Daycare. Since 2008, I’ve proudly provided safe, nurturing, and flexible care for children in Baldwin, NY and surrounding areas—with over 15 years of hands-on childcare experience.
Little Tots began from a personal need: as a mom of three, I wanted the flexibility to be present for my children—to nurse them, support their learning, and be there when they got home from school. That desire led me to build a program that supports other working families with the same level of care, structure, and understanding.
I created Little Tots as a welcoming, home-based space where learning happens through play, exploration, and connection. Our age-appropriate environment and play-based curriculum help children grow, discover, and thrive at their own pace. During warmer months, our spacious yard offers opportunities for safe outdoor play and seasonal activities.
Most importantly, I believe in building lasting relationships with every family we serve—starting in infancy and continuing through the early years. At Little Tots, your child will feel at home, and you’ll have peace of mind knowing they’re in trusted, capable hands.
